6 Ways to Save Money on Your Mailings

1. If you are not mailing at non-profit rates, you are wasting money unnecessarily. We can help you get a non-profit mailing authorization at NO CHARGE. Just give us a call! You don't even need to have a mailing permit.

2. Do a price comparison to see if using a professional mail service (like Postage Saver from LifeSupport) will save you money.  Often the savings that you see when you get the automation discounts will far outweigh the cost of the mail service.

3. If you are renting a mailing list, require that it has been DPV processed and get the results from that processing in writing.  You don't want to waste money renting undeliverable addresses!

4. Get your list processed through the National Change Of Address (NCOA) database regularly (yearly at the least.)  This will update your list for people who have filed change of address forms with the post office.  We can help you get this processing done.

5. Beginning August 1, the Postal Service will require that any mail pieces claiming the deepest automation discounts will have to have been run through DPV processing.  If your mailing list has addresses that do not pass the DPV processing, you will have to pay more for them and they will most likely never make it to the intended donor.  Prepare now for the August 1 requirements by sending us your list for DPV processing.  Call Inez at 888-812-5433 to get this processing done on your list.

6. When mailing flats, look for ways to reconfigure the pieces to mail them as letters. 
Often, you can add one fold and/or reorient the address block to get the letter classification.

Are You Ready for DPV? (Delivery Point Validation)

Beginning August 1, 2007 the Postal Service will require you verify your mailing list
through Delivery Point Validation (DPV) in order to receive the deepest automation discounts.
DPV processing checks each address to be sure that they are actually deliverable addresses in the USPS database. Only those addresses that pass DPV processing will be able to get the automation barcode.

We are offering a service to get you ready for DPV.  For only $25 for lists under 1000 and $35 for lists over 1000, if you send us your mailing list now, we can process it to let you see what addresses will
and will not pass DPV processing. We recommend that any addresses that do not pass DPV be corrected
